Emmys 2016

It's been a while between awards show wraps and I've missed casting an eye over all that glossy fabric and Jetson-stiff hair so here's a quick guide to who looked F.A.B on the R.C.

Emily Ratatjkowski looking angular and quite spectacular in navy Zac Posen. I imagine she had to practice this pose with the designer in her Hollywood hotel room beforehand don't you think? It's so odd when you think about it but it so terrifically shows off every feature of both the gown and her body. Cray.

I am very partial to an egg yolk yellow anything but when its Versace it becomes completely irresistible. Minnie is looking a tad too Hollywood skinny-glossy here, and I'm hoping she hasn't lost all the mussed-up hair Britishness.

This is Abigail Spencer (Suits) looking so bloody gorgeous in Jenny Packham. How good is navy? How pretty are the frills? I don't normally go for frills but today I do.

Angela Bassett looks like she's wearing my husband's IKEA dressing gown. I think for this reason, it's a no from me. Cristian Siriano in case you were wondering.

Emilia Clarke was show-stopping in Atelier Versace. It's nothing new but it must be THE most physically demanding gown ever made. I doubt she ate any solid food in the last week - I mean just look at that tummy.

Check out this little ray of fun-shine. Isn't she cool? She's wearing vintage. Check her hair! Check her eyebrows! Check her shoes!  Her name is Gabby Hoffman and you might know her from GIRLS or Amazon's series Transparent. In other interesting news, she's best friends with Christina Ricci.

Now isn't this interesting. Quite unlikely for the Emmys which is why I quite like it. It's Laura Carmichael (AKA Lady Edith from Downton Abbey) wearing Delpozo.

I love this guy. Remember him from House of Cards? How good is his hair? Classic dinner suit chic. Tick.

I read somewhere this morning how Sarah Hyland proved that activewear can be worn on the red carpet. See I'd say the opposite. I think she just proved that activewear is definitely NOT suitable for the red carpet. End of sermon.

It's hard to beat green Prada. Doesn't Sarah Paulson just look so fricken cool in this? I want this dress.

This is Tatiana Maslany in Alexander Wang. I just love the simplicity.
Oh god, I REALLY love this. It's Amanda Peet in Altuzurra. And what I love even more is the look on her face. It's like she's in character.

Yowsers. Check out Clare Danes. I reckon she is loving herself SICK today. And so she should. W.O.W.

Mandy Moore. Remember Mandy Moore? Pop starlet? Well, she just got cool AND she shows 'tude with the paps. Loving her in this mustard Prabal Gurung dress.

So cool. The hand in the pocket just bang on. It's all class. It's Rami Malek in Dior Homme from Mr Robot.

Tom Hiddleston looking a little lost and alone post Tay -Tay but superb suit.
