What to say of this week's Logies? Overall I have to say the level has improved. Bryn Edelstein was nowhere to be seen which instantly raised the average tenfold.
But despite the lifting of the average I can't help but feel a tad underwhelmed. Don't get me wrong, there were some highlights but no real showstoppers.
So here's what i thought. On the tele Sonya Kruger’s gown looked pretty great. Fitted superbly, very right for her figure and with a peplum giving her shape and flair all in one kick. Good colour too.

Still on white, Asher Keddie looked fab in J’Aton. I’m not a big fan of J’aton, it’s a bit girly for me. Too lacy pretty but they do cut her dresses immaculately for her body. She looked fab and she wins “Most Articulate on the Red Carpet” too.

Chrissie Swan wore navy which worked beautifully for her skin tone and face, she really is rather beautiful isn’t she. And really, really funny I think too. Unaffected and down to earth. Loveable lady that one.

Rebecca Judd always looked like she turned up to the wrong event to me. She’s always in a gown worth of the Oscars (this year complete with fish tail and organza ruffles) which is fabulous don’t get me wrong, but somehow it kind of seems a bit serious. A bit much. Which is a bit weird. They’re the Logies after all. But she did look great. Just not quite... right.

Jennifer Hawkins. You see i didn’t love her this year. I’m still recovering after last year’s magnificent white high-necked, long-sleeved number. It was so good in my opinion that it was going to be tough to beat this year but that doesn’t mean she couldn’t have done it. The dress she wore was a pretty colour (jade/aquamarine) but it just looked cheap. The fabric looked cheap and the cut was just plain old unimaginative. Like she picked it up from the Myer formal department for $160 which is a samn shame becase it was made by the very talenteed Toni Matisceski. She was one of the few women there who could have worn ANYTHING in store (’m assuming she has to get her gown from Myer) and she would have had access to any gown but she went with the year ten formal gown from 1991? Silly choice Hawko.

I thought Zoe Foster looked great but then I would wouldnt I because I just hink she's terribly fabulous. She was in Rachel Gilbert. Beautiful, and of course her skin was glowing and stunning.

And Paula Joye wore something vastly different from the kind of boring stuff being paraded by the various TV starlets. Like Sonya Kruger she worked a strong peplum and the striking shape of the dress complete with her stark, modern sleek ponytail delivered a dose of sophistication to the Logies that I found most welcome.

Best hair went to gorgeous young Samara Weaving. A loose, wavy low messy bun with front wispy curls. Love that style. Here's a pic. Isn't it a great style?
